New !Game of Thrones VFX Breakdown

                            Game of Thrones VFX
Every year we''re amazed at how much of Game of thrones isnt'áctually there.

this season definitely featured some suspect visual effects (the dragons immediately come to mind) but the set extensions and shot compositions? No one questioned those. That’s when you know visual effects really worked.

Game of Thrones does VFX really well, because aside from things like dragons and other creatures, it’s all very subtle. There is a good mix of practical and VFX. For instance, the fact that the original shot of Lord Friendzone in the boat was actually in a body of water is great. If it were the Star Wars prequels, they would have done that whole thing on a green screen and even the boat would be entirely digital.
